HOW THE TRAINING WORKS
Our 8-week program is designed for small groups so every student receives one-on-one, direct bench instruction.
Each training session includes:
- Hands-on, daily bench work on real customer instruments
- Step-by-step demonstrations by professional technicians
- Individual coaching and correction
- Structured skill progression from basic setups to advanced repair
Training takes place inside Hank’s Guitar Shop in Clearwater, Florida, a working, 5-Star guitar repair facility serving musicians across the Tampa Bay area.
What You Can Do After Training

How Not to Become a Guitar Technician
Many people discover guitar repair while searching for a way to turn their love of guitars into a real career or side-income.
They’ll turn to YouTube and Facebook forums to learn all they can about guitar repair. That’s what I did to re-learn, even though I had a couple years of training in a luthier shop in Houston decades earlier.
And, honestly – although I spent countless hours watching videos, reading posts and every book I could get my hands on, I was, at best – a four-star guitar repair guy with warranty return jobs nearly every week.
